We’re inviting individuals and organisations to become Friends of the Night Shelter by committing to a regular weekly or monthly donation. These donations go directly towards keeping our doors open and providing safe, warm, and welcoming accommodation to those who need it most.

The Shelter receives no guaranteed funding. Each year, we apply for grants from community organisations and the Dunedin City Council, but it’s not enough. Your support as a Friend helps bridge the gap and ensures our ongoing operations.

For just $5.00 a week you can make a meaningful difference and setting up an automatic payment is easy.

You can also leave a lasting impact by including a gift to the Dunedin Night Shelter in your will. Bequests, large or small, help secure our future and enable us to plan for long-term support of the city’s most vulnerable.
